The Texas State Parks Annual Pass offers unlimited free entry to over 80 state parks for a full year. The pass is valid for the cardholder and guests in the same vehicle, as long as the cardholder is present. It costs $70 per year, though a secondary pass for someone living at the same address can be purchased for an additional $25.
The pass also includes discounts on certain park services, like camping, store purchases, and equipment rentals. However, it doesn’t guarantee entry if the park is full. Passes can be purchased online, at any Texas state park, or over the phone.
There are also specialized passes for youth groups, seniors, veterans, and disabled persons, with specific benefits such as free or reduced entry fees [oai_citation:3,Park Passes — Texas Parks & Wildlife Department](https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/park-information/passes) [oai_citation:2,Pass Details – Texas State Parks](https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/posProductDetails.do?id=70656&contractCode=TX) [oai_citation:1,Texas State Parks Pass Price to Increase Sept. 1 | Brownwood News](https://www.brownwoodnews.com/2024/06/28/texas-state-parks-pass-price-to-increase-sept-1/).
